Above is a scan of the inside of a card I made in 2004, for our 34 anniversary.
Below is the front of the card.

MIKE

If one day can hold such meaning that it becomes engraved in an eternal book, it would be the day that Mike asked me to share his life. We were joined by a Holy bond in a little mountain chapel thirty years ago and even today I can still hear the chimes in the bell tower ring.

How we met:
True love may come only once in a lifetime and yet its precious memory fills all eternity with such sweetness it makes the angels sing.

How I knew he was the one:
Love is fickle and many come and go, but the only one I cherish is the one that now fills my life with his very presence.

Our best date:
College days of football games, parties, all was sweet. But he saved the “best date” to be the one that lasts the rest of our lives.

Our online romance:
There was no Internet when we met in 1967, yet still our hearts were linked in an intricate web of words and emotions.

Our honeymoon story:
Our honeymoon, that glorious week spent camped by a mountain stream, has magically extended these 30 years as we’ve "trekked" through life together.

The greatest gift he ever gave me:
The flowers left at my doorstep, sweet surprises of all sorts, all were hints of the best gift yet to come, a lifetime together.

How we balance romance and parenthood:
Our children are the ultimate symbol of an undying love that spans not only this lifetime, but through generations to come. What could be more romantic?

The text above was written for a contest I entered for Valentines Day, 2000.
I didn't win the contest, but I have Mike, what more could I want!
