My computer:
Back in 1996, my husband convinced me that we needed to buy a new PC. Our last computer had been an old Commador with a dot-matrix printer which I did not see much use for. You can guess the rest ........ three months later I was completely in love with a machine ......... I even moved it up to my sewing room where I cleared a space for it. I invested in a Dummies book and began unraveling the mysteries of windows. I even conquered Myst. Then AOL announced it's new unlimited time price plan and I discovered that there was more to this on-line thing than just email. It was like browsing in the library ....... but better because not only were the works of the masters there, but the stuff of ordinary people like you and me was there too.

So in the spring of '97, I began what I hoped would be a good exercise for my brain and a new creative outlet .... learning HTML so that I could write my own web page. By the time that I discovered that there are utilities that do all the work, I had already figured out the codes and tags.

If you don't already have a web page of your own, I encourage you to make one. Its not as difficult as you may think. See my Compost Pile for graphics and other resources and my tutorial for HTML instructions. And if you do have a page, leave your URL in my Guestbook so I can visit your site.

In 1999, I started my own web design company, called Wildwood Forest Studios. Obviously I have long since moved the operation out of the "sewing room" in to my own office nearby and employ several other programmers and artists on an out-source basis. If you need a site designed for your business I would be happy to talk to you. You will find my prices very competitive (shameless plug!).

And one last thing ..... why the name Ladybug? I don't know .....
I guess I just liked the sound of it and it stuck.
