"The kiss of the sun for pardon, The song of the birds for mirth, One is nearer God's heart in a garden, Than anywhere else on earth"
Sometimes in the stillness of the early morning hours I sit in my garden to think and to talk to God........ Do you know that it was in a garden that our Lord Jesus spent His last night on earth before enduring the awful ordeal of Calvary ..... Perhaps He too felt this was a place that brought Him closer to God ..... and here He talked to the Father and accepted His fate as the sacrificial lamb ..... the perfect one ..... the one with the body of a man, but the soul of God ..... the one that would atone for the sins of mankind ..... the one that the Bible speaks of in John 3:16 ..... "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life".
And as I sit and pray, I hear the birds chirping their morning songs as though their little hearts are bursting with joy ..... and I sometimes think they sound like the angels in heaven must sound as they rejoice in each soul that is reborn into a new relationship with God through Jesus. And at that precious moment ..... always without fail ..... my own heart is restored with a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Tremendous challenges await this nation, and there will be hardships ahead. Faith will not make our path easy, but it will give us strength for the journey." --President George W.
