HOPE FOR THE WORLD

Once I looked to the heavens above
And asked the clouds, "Where is Love?"
Then a bluebird caught my eye
And I asked, "Is Love up there where you fly?"

I turned to the tree and looked up on high
"Where is Hope for the world? Where does it lie?"
"Or is it here?" I asked, glancing down
At the wildflowers growing along the ground.

And then in the gentle breeze I heard
A quiet rustle like a spoken word.
It touched my heart and drew me near.
The Word was God and I felt Him here.

Somehow that which had eluded me
Now seemed so clear for all to see.
And when once more I looked above
I knew that God is Hope and God is Love.
