Page 24, "Up, Up and Away":

The hot-air balloon was prtrayed on 2 consecutive pages. Here, on the first, the right side is folded back and stitched with yarn to give a peek at the balloon on the next page. On the left side I did the ole paper weave like we used to do in elementary school.... cut horizontal wavy lines across the page (leaving a good margin around all edges uncut) then wove half inch strips of paper in and out between the cuts. See the purple blobs of paint near the bottom........ well I had tried an experiment with paint that I didn't like, so I just made that page an "inside page" that was glued to this one so it didn't show. Some of the purple paint dripped through, so I just used purples on this page and one would never know they weren't meant to be there.
