Page 24, "Up,
Up and Away":
The hot-air
balloon was prtrayed on 2 consecutive pages. Here, on the first,
the right side is folded back and stitched with yarn to give a
peek at the balloon on the next page. On the left side I did the
ole paper weave like we used to do in elementary school.... cut
horizontal wavy lines across the page (leaving a good margin around
all edges uncut) then wove half inch strips of paper in and out
between the cuts. See the purple blobs of paint near the bottom........
well I had tried an experiment with paint that I didn't like,
so I just made that page an "inside page" that was glued
to this one so it didn't show. Some of the purple paint dripped
through, so I just used purples on this page and one would never
know they weren't meant to be there.
